Field Day

Allie's school had field day today so Austin and I went up to watch. It was so much fun to watch her whole class run around and play together and just have fun. Here are a bunch of pics- they are not the best but I think you can just see the pure joy on her face in them. She was having so much fun. The first picture is of Allie attempting to jump rope. They also did tether ball, tug of war, wet sock races, an obstacle course, hula hoops, and basketball, bean bag toss, snow cones, tattoos, and colored hair spray. As you can see by the pics Austin also had a good time and got a snow cone. I love that I am able to work part-time and be involved in the kids school activities, it is so much fun to see them interact with their friends and grow-up.

1st Popsicle

I had a great day with the kids today. You know one of those days where the weather is great and the kids listen and cooperate and actually play really nice together. We were supposed to finish our refi paperwork today but they are still looking over stuff so that was cancelled. I wanted to get out and let Austin play but was not ready to go to the park yet so instead we went to the mall so he could play and I could do a little shopping- I was pretty good- I did buy a few things on sale at gymboree but they were all on sale for cheap and then I had a 30% off coupon so they were great deals (like an outfit for next fall for Austin for $3.50) I really try not to go into gymboree to much because I could do serious damage but there stuff lasts and washes better than anything else we have so every once and a while it is nice. After the mall Austin had a short nap then t was time to go get Allie. I had decided today would be a perfect day to let the kids play in the sprinkler in the back yard because Allie keeps asking to swim at my mom's but it is still too cold. Allie was really wanting to go to the park again so we did that for about half an hour and then went home which is where the real fun began. I wish I had pictures of them but my camera is dead and I was having so much fun watching them play I did not want to worry about it. I am sure there will be plenty of time for pics again soon. Anyways Allie has this hopscotch mat that hooks up to the hose and shoots out water. So we hooked it up and I let the two of them have at it. The had a complete blast. Austin would just squeal with joy every time the water would get on him and the Allie would jump on the mat making the water splash even more and he would squeal all over again. It was so cute. I will really have to try and tape them next time. After a while in the water I noticed the yard was getting swampy (it was still wet from all the rain we have been getting) so I decided to turn of the water and give them both Popsicles. This was Austin's 1st time and he was so cute. He was not to sure at first but quickly realized it was good. He had red Popsicle all over his mouth, hands, arms, and stomach, not to mention the table. It was great, after the Popsicles I hosed them both off again and we went in to clean up so we could go out to eat for dinner. Anyways it was a great afternoon. I am really looking forward to this summer to having them both home with me on my off days again. I am sure we will be doing this again, and I will try and get pics then.

9 years

Yesterday was Heath and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. I love this guy so much, he is truly my best friend and I love him more as the years go by. I love the father he is to our kids how he is so loving and patient with them, much more than I am. He is more than willing to help out around the house whenever it's needed and has been know to actually say he likes it when I go run errons on the weekend so he can clean up around the house. How did I get so lucky. He is the BEST. We have had our struggles just like every other couple and I am sure there will be more but each time we grow closer together and closer to God. God sure knew what he was doing back in the day when I would be so sad about not having a boyfriend like all my other friends. He was helping to save me for the best possible mate. God has blessed me each day to be able to call Heath my husband. I wish everyone could know the kind of love I have with him, to be married to your best friend and have a true partner in every aspect of our lives. I am so blessed. So while we did not do anything special this year it does not matter just being with him is a gift I am forever greatful for. I love you Heath. You are the best.

The grouchy ladybug

Allie's school had a grouchy ladybug play, based on the Eric Carle book this past week. The sound is not very good but I thought I would include it. I normally don't like to put up stuff up on my blog with other kids in it, if I have not spoken to their parents but decided it would would be OK on this time because you can not see their faces very clear.

I'm Here-I think

Well here I go again, trying to figure out what I have been up to the past month. Honestly I really don't know. Nothing besides the normal work, school, and Allie's activities. I just really have not felt like blogging. i have been on facebook which does take up time, but other than that nothing really new is going on. So lets see I will start updating you on this weekend and then may past date a few blogs or list stuff backwards we will see. So this week we have been getting ready for Valentines day. Allie had a soccer scrimmage on Sunday, she had choir on Wednesday and dance on Thursday. Since I do not work on Thursday's I help out during Allie's lunch once a month. So this week was my turn, while I did that my mom came over and took Austin to the park. Then we went and ran a few errands. when we got home it was so nice out that I decided I was going to go pull some weeds while Austin took his nap. I worked for about an hour and half and it still does not look like I made much progress but at least I was able to go out and enjoy the nice warm air. then when Austin and I picked up Allie from school she and a friend wanted to go play at the park so off we went again for a another trip. I think we all slept like rocks that night we were so warn out from all the playing. On Friday Austin and I went up to Allie's school again for her Valentines party, when we walked in the room mom was explaining the craft and it was really quiet. As soon as Austin saw Allie he yelled ALLIE so loud all the kids turned around. It was really cute to see him so excited to see his sister. They really do play so well together and love being around each other, which just warms my heart. After her part we had about a hour and a half before we had to pick Allie back up. Not really enough time for Austin to get a good nap so i wanted to try and keep him up so he could nap after school, because they were going to be up late that night. So we went and saw Nancy (my aunt) who works at the same school and ended up just hanging out there with her and her aid the whole time. Heath and I had a date night on Friday, because once a month our church has parents night out where they watch the kids for 4 hours while we can go out, and it is alot less than paying a sitter. We had a really nice night just us not talking about the kids and just being us. On Saturday heath did his Saturday pancakes and we had a soccer game. Allie's team won but we were freezing. It was only like 50 out and the wind was really blowing so I know the girls were cold. That night we let Allie pick the place for dinner since it was Valentines day. I was completely expecting McDonald's or chick-fil-A but she chose Dickey's. Much better than fast food any day. Today was church then stuff around the house. we also went out and bought 2 peach trees. my mom told us last year she would buy the trees if we planted them and would give her some when we get the peaches so we finally got them today. Hopefully we will get them planted this week. We probably will not get any fruit this year but maybe next year we will see some. We ended the weekend with Dinner over at my parents house with them and my sister. The only thing that was missing was Matthew.

Well I guess that is about it for now. I can't promise I will blog every week but I really will promise to try.

video trial

I got a flip mini video recorder for Christmas and have been playing with it some since then. So here is 1 video from tonight and one from the other night when we were playing with the wii. Right after I got the video from tonight Austin fell off the ledge backwards and then about 15 minutes later he did it again, so I am pretty sure he will have a mark tomorrow. Hope you like them, I know they are kind of jumpy but I am just figuring out how to work my flip, but I must say this little thing is cool and will be nice to take on vacations and stuff because it is so nice and small.

Blogging is my new resolution- Yah right

Ok so it's a good thing that blogging was not one of my new years resolution's because I am failing at it. I read other people's but I honestly have not felt the urge lately to write. We have been busy since with work, school, life but we have also been really enjoying our family time lately so I have not been interested in blogging. We bought a wii for Christmas and have been playing that alot, and have really been enjoying the back yard alot with the nice weather. In fact yesterday it was so nice outside Allie went out to ride her bike for a little while and Heath wanted to wash my car. But I really did not want to just hang out inside so I convinced Heath that we should take the kids to the park. We have a nice one in our neighborhood, but there is a nature preserve with tons of trails, walking paths, and a huge park not far from our house so we decided to go there. Since it was still light outside for a while we decided to walk first around the loop before we went to the playground. I have not gone and walked there recently and I totally wished I had my camera with me. I told Heath in spring when things start to green up we will have to take the kids to try and get some pictures of them. I also think I need to go walk there more often because they have some very nice paths and it will help get me in shape before we go to Jackson again this summer. Anyways after our walk we let the kids play for about an hour. Both of them are total outdoors kids which I just love. They both really seem to light up whenever we are outside.

So that is what we have been doing all January. I am actually "working" from home today because Allie is off school. She has a friend over so I was able to get my work done and Austin is at the sitter. Oh this is so nice, I wish I was able to work from home all the time. Hope you all are enjoying your month and the warm/cold/warm weather we have been having. While I like the cold it sure is nice to have warm days in between to prevent cabin fever. I will try and be better about updating this but I can not make any promises. I think we have almost got the computer fixed (5 months later) so i will actually be able to get to my pictures again easily-that will be nice.
